Throughout our lives, we all experience a series of transitions, including transitioning:
- From toddler to kindergarten
- From high school to higher education & employment
- From singlehood to partnering
- From one career to another
- From being frantically busy to seeking life purpose
- From working 9-5 to creating a post-career lifestyle
- …and so on
Along the way, we’ll experience unexpected but inevitable changes, including deaths, separations, injuries, and changes in life perspectives. Some of these things are out of our control. Although complex, these types of changes can create growth and new opportunities.
Some changes we’re forced into, and others are by choice. In either case, adjustments and new decisions need to be made.
Choosing Change
We often choose to change, whether it be a new career, new business, new location, or a variety of other minor changes. In these situations, strong resilience is an asset that can help us be more attuned to managing stress and have more confidence to make it through the next challenge. Strong resilience, clarity, and coaching can make the transition process easier.
